The trail in the heart of the Hautacam massif
The Trail du Hautacam has established itself as an unmissable event on the Pyrénées trail running calendar. Starting from Beaucens, a small village in the Gaves valley at the foot of the famous Hautacam pass, runners set off to conquer demanding and spectacular courses in a magnificent natural setting.
Four races for all profiles
The Trail du Hautacam offers four timed races adapted to all levels:
- 70 km Trail – 4,900 m of positive elevation gain – starts at 5 am from the Renault garage in Beaucens
- 45 km Trail – 2,800 m D+ – starts at 7 am
- 24 km Trail – 1,600 m D+ – starts at 9 am from the town hall and community hall
- Canitrail – race with your dog
An accompanied hike is also offered for non-competitors.
ITRA Certified
All Trail du Hautacam races are certified by the ITRA (International Trail Running Association), allowing participants to obtain an official ranking and qualifying points for prestigious races like the UTMB.
Beaucens, gateway to Hautacam
Beaucens, located a few kilometers from Lourdes and Argelès-Gazost, is the ideal starting point for exploring the Hautacam massif, renowned for its mid and high Pyrenean mountain landscapes. The village also houses the Donjon des Aigles, a major tourist site in the Gaves valley.
