Four days of féria in the heart of the Hautes-Pyrénées prefecture
The Fêtes de Tarbes are the major annual festive event of the Hautes-Pyrénées prefecture, organized every year in June by the City of Tarbes. For four days, the city center is adorned with the yellow and red colors of the féria to host casetas, bandas, free concerts, street entertainment, and sporting events. On the program: opening of the casetas at Place du Foirail, musical parades by bandas and batucadas, evening DJ sets, free concerts on several stages, corridas and encierros at the bullring, as well as the Tarbes Urban Trail and the TarbAlade. More than 90,000 people attend the event each year, making it one of the major festive gatherings in the South-West.
Every June, Tarbes transforms into a party capital for four days. The city is adorned with its traditional colors, yellow and red, and the city center becomes a huge festive space where casetas, bandas, free concerts, corridas, and street entertainment mingle. The event attracts more than 90,000 festayres from across the region and beyond.
The casetas set up at Place du Foirail form the beating heart of the Fêtes. Run by local peñas and associations, these convivial tents welcome the public every evening for moments of sharing around music, dance, and local gastronomy. The bandas and batucadas animate the city center streets with musical parades, in the pure tradition of the South-West férias.
Several open-air stages host free concerts by local, regional, and national artists, with an eclectic program mixing contemporary music and Pyrenean traditions. Every evening, the bandas animate the opening of the festivities from 6 PM to 10 PM, before giving way to DJ sets from 10 PM onwards.
The Tarbes bullring hosts corridas and bullfighting shows, historical components of the Tarbes féria. Encierros and bull parades punctuate the four days of festivities, perpetuating the Gascon tradition.
The Fêtes include two highly anticipated sporting and convivial events: the Tarbes Urban Trail, an urban race of approximately 10 to 11 km crossing the city's emblematic sites (skate park, Stade Maurice-Trélut, Jardin Massey, Hôtel de Ville), and the TarbAlade, a festive walk of 7.5 km with musical stops to rediscover the heritage of the Bigourdan city with family.
The Fêtes de Tarbes 2026 will take place from Thursday, June 18 to Sunday, June 21, 2026 in Tarbes city center. Four days and four nights of feria with casetas at Place du Foirail, free concerts, bandas and batucadas, evening DJ sets, bullfights at the arenas, Tarbes Urban Trail and TarbAlade. Over 90,000 people expected throughout the event.
