Free concerts in gardens, squares, and at the conservatory
Every June 21st, Champigny-sur-Marne celebrates the Fête de la Musique with a multi-site program. From the André Navarra conservatory to the town hall gardens and the Belvédère, as well as the Market Square, cultural associations, students, and rock, jazz, soul, blues, and world music bands liven up the city in a festive and free atmosphere.
Every June 21st, Champigny-sur-Marne celebrates the Fête de la Musique by opening its public spaces to amateur and professional musicians. The city offers a multi-site program that allows everyone to find a concert that suits them, within walking or a short bike ride from home.
The André Navarra Municipal Conservatory is traditionally at the heart of the Champigny Fête de la Musique. From 11 am to 7 pm, students and instrumental ensembles from the conservatory take over the forecourt and halls of the institution for public concerts. Choirs, guitars, orchestras, and chamber ensembles make the neighborhood vibrate in a celebration of amateur musical practice and learning.
Place Aristide Briand, in front of the town hall, hosts concerts and musical entertainment throughout the day, offered by local associations and cultural structures of the city. It's an opportunity for downtown residents to enjoy the Fête de la Musique in a familiar and friendly setting, with their neighbors.
Place du Marché hosts the festival “World Cuisines & Music”, which combines gastronomy and music to celebrate the cultural diversity of Champigny-sur-Marne. Starting at 3 pm, local associations representing various cultures offer songs, dances, and culinary specialties, creating a festive multicultural atmosphere. Bands like French Kiss, BYoS, and Alexandra Matagne perform on stage, followed by a DJ set to close the event.
The Belvédère hall hosts rock, jazz, soul, and blues concerts in the evening of the Fête de la Musique, presented by local and regional bands. This performance venue, nestled in the heights of Champigny with a view of the Marne, offers a unique setting for indoor and outdoor concerts, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
