The summer festival (July - August)

The core of the season is the international organ festival, held every Thursday from July to the end of August, at 7 PM. Eight concerts feature organists from all over Europe and the world. These Thursday evenings have become a ritual for many music lovers in Vendée, who plan their summer schedules around these musical events in the medieval village. Between concerts, Vouvant offers its shaded streets, café terraces, artisan shops, and panoramic views of the Mère valley.

European Heritage Days

In September, the European Heritage Days provide an opportunity for an exceptional concert combining organ and solo instrument, celebrating both the architectural heritage of the church and the richness of the chamber music repertoire. This concert, usually free of charge, attracts a large audience eager to discover or rediscover the village in a festive atmosphere.

“Budding Organists”

The festival places great emphasis on transmission and education with its “Budding Organists” concerts, featuring students from regional conservatories—notably the Conservatoire de Poitiers and other institutions in the Grand Ouest.
