The contemporary music festival of Boulogne-sur-Mer, between rock, electro and discoveries
The Poulpaphone Festival is a contemporary music festival born in 2005 in Boulogne-sur-Mer. In two decades, it has established itself as an essential musical event in the Boulonnais region and on the Côte d'Opale, recognized for the quality and boldness of its programming.
Poulpaphone stands out with a program that uninhibitedly mixes rock, electro, rap, pop, metal, and chanson. The festival gives pride of place to discoveries and emerging artists, while also featuring renowned headliners. Over the years, it has hosted artists such as Bagarre, Kompromat, The Inspector Cluzo, Naza, Camp Claude, and many talents from the French and European independent scene.
The festival takes place at L'Embarcadère, a contemporary music venue in Boulogne-sur-Mer. This space dedicated to musical creation and diffusion offers an ideal setting for a human-sized festival, where the proximity between artists and the audience is at the heart of the experience.
Poulpaphone cultivates a friendly and accessible atmosphere. Prices are deliberately moderate to allow as many people as possible to enjoy a quality program. The festival is part of a local cultural development initiative, contributing to the musical influence of Boulogne-sur-Mer and the Côte d'Opale.
In 2025, Poulpaphone celebrated its 20th anniversary, a symbolic milestone that testifies to the vitality of the contemporary music scene in the Boulonnais region.
