An agricultural tradition in the heart of Pays d'Auge

Every year in March, the market square of Saint-Pierre-sur-Dives (municipality of Saint-Pierre-en-Auge) hosts the Foire de Printemps, an unmissable event for the agricultural and artisanal world of Calvados. This traditional event brings together agricultural exhibitors, Norman regional producers, and merchants for a festive and friendly occasion.

The Agricultural Competition and Rural Traditions

The Agricultural Competition, an integral part of the Foire de Printemps, features animal contests, agricultural machinery exhibitions, and demonstrations of rural know-how. The parades of vintage tractors on Sunday morning are a highlight of the event, showcasing the evolution of Norman agriculture over the decades. The format has been redesigned to combine tradition and novelty.

Entertainment and Local Products

From 10 am to 6 pm, visitors can discover an educational mini-farm, nature activities, stands offering local products (cider, calvados, cheeses, charcuterie), a dedicated space for agricultural equipment, and stands for housing and gardening. The themed entertainment varies each year, offering a renewed program suitable for all ages.

An event under the medieval market halls

The exceptional setting of the medieval market halls of Saint-Pierre-sur-Dives, built in the 11th century and classified as a historic monument, gives this fair a unique charm. Exhibitors set up in the market square and adjacent streets, creating a warm and authentically Norman atmosphere.
