The Summer Funfair
Every summer, from late June to mid-July, the Foire Jacques Cœur transforms the Place Séraucourt into a huge amusement park. This traditional funfair is named after the famous treasurer of Charles VII, Jacques Cœur, whose magnificent Gothic palace is one of Bourges' heritage jewels. For nearly a month, the fair attracts thousands of visitors who come to enjoy the rides and the festive atmosphere.

The Foire Jacques Cœur offers around 80 varied attractions to satisfy all audiences. Thrill-seekers will find their happiness with the Ferris wheel offering a panoramic view of Bourges, the bumper cars, the haunted house, and various thrill rides. Families with young children will appreciate the traditional carousels, merry-go-rounds, and adapted attractions. Lotteries, cotton candy, and candy apples complete the offering for an authentic funfair experience.
Attractive Prices and Accessibility
Access to the fair is free; only the attractions are individually ticketed. Every Wednesday, promotional prices are offered, allowing as many people as possible to enjoy the rides at reduced prices. Located at Place Séraucourt, near the city center, the fair is easily accessible by car, bus, or on foot. Nearby parking facilities facilitate vehicle access.

The Foire Jacques Cœur 2026 — Bourges' big summer funfair — will be held at Place Séraucourt from June 19 to July 14, 2026. Nearly 80 attractions, rides, and stalls will animate the city center for almost a month: roller coasters, thrill rides, a Ferris wheel, family attractions, games, and gourmet food stands. Admission is free, attractions are paid individually, with three promotional Wednesdays offering reduced prices (June 24, July 1, and July 8, 2026).
2026 Edition — June 19 to July 14
The Foire Jacques Cœur returns to Place Séraucourt in Bourges from Friday, June 19 to Tuesday, July 14, 2026, for nearly a month of funfair in the heart of the city. Organized by the City of Bourges, this 2026 edition brings together nearly 80 attractions, rides, and stalls installed on the central esplanade and easily accessible from all districts of Bourges.
A Funfair for All Audiences
The site offers a very wide range of attractions:
