The Foire de la Saint-André is one of the oldest traditions in Mehun-sur-Yèvre. Dating back to the 15th century and likely established by Duke Jean de Berry, this annual fair perpetuates a centuries-old heritage that the town is proud of.
A history of over 500 years
For over five centuries, the Foire de la Saint-André has marked the rhythm of life in Mehun at the end of November. What was once an important market for farmers and traders in the region has become a popular funfair that attracts thousands of visitors.

Today, the fair consists of:

The Saint-André Fair returns on Saturday, November 28, 2026, to Mehun-sur-Yèvre, faithful to a tradition more than five centuries old. Centered on Rue Jeanne d'Arc, between Place du 14 Juillet and Place du Général Leclerc, the fair transforms the city center into a vast market accompanied by a funfair and the stalls of local merchants.
Rides and attractions for all ages, fairground stalls, hot chestnuts, and seasonal sweets make up this friendly day that traditionally marks the beginning of the Christmas period.
