Created in 2018 by the Town of Lamotte-Beuvron, equestrian capital of Sologne, this festival explores through the seventh art the deep bonds that unite human beings with the animal world.
The festival takes place every year at the end of November at the Le Méliès cinema in Lamotte-Beuvron, located at 12 rue de l'Allée Verte. The genres are varied: documentaries, fiction, animated films, short and feature films. A jury composed of film professionals and personalities from the animal world awards the prizes at the end of the festival.
Beyond the screenings, the Lamotte-Beuvron Film Festival offers meetings with directors, producers, and jury members. These exchanges allow the public to discover the behind-the-scenes of film creation and to discuss with the artists their vision of the human-animal relationship. An inaugural ceremony launches the festival on Friday evening.
