Furax Fest: The Metal Soul of the Vosges

Born from the will of the Furax association, founded in January 2007 in Raves, Vosges, Furax Fest has established itself as the major event for heavy music in Saint-Dié-des-Vosges. The association, whose aim is to promote local and national music groups by organizing concerts and cultural events, has quickly united a passionate community around amplified music in the Vosges mountains.

L'Entracte Deux: The Temple of Sound in Saint-Dié

The festival takes place at L'Entracte Deux, a concert bar located at 33 Rue de la Prairie in Saint-Dié-des-Vosges. This legendary venue of the Lorraine underground scene has regularly hosted rock, metal, punk, and hardcore concerts for many years. Its intimate atmosphere and the close proximity between artists and the audience make it an ideal setting for electric evenings where energy flows unfiltered between the stage and the pit.

A Program True to the Underground Spirit

Over the years, Furax Fest has hosted iconic bands from the French scene such as Les Ramoneurs de Menhirs, a Celtic punk band led by Loran from Bérurier Noir, and David Sanchez, a figure in French metal. The programming mixes renowned headliners with local discoveries, offering a valuable showcase for emerging bands from the Grand Est region. From heavy metal to enraged punk, including hardcore and stoner rock, the festival covers a wide spectrum of extreme music.

Memorable Editions

The festival celebrated its tenth anniversary in 2016 with the "Furax à 10 Ans Fest", a memorable evening at L'Entracte Deux that brought together long-time fans. The following year, "Furax Depuis 11 Ans Fest" confirmed the festival's vitality with Les Ramoneurs de Menhirs as the headliner. These anniversaries attest to the longevity and territorial anchoring of an event driven by volunteer passion and a sincere love for amplified music.
