About GEMF

Born in 2023 in the heart of the Pearl of the Vosges, the Gérardmer Electro Mountain Festival (GEMF) is the largest electronic music festival in the Grand Est region. Every year in March, the Espace L.A.C. transforms into a giant dancefloor with 2,800 seats where national and international DJs make the Vosges mountains vibrate. Supported by the ACARA association and a 100% volunteer team, the GEMF offers two nights of eight-hour sets with spectacular scenography mixing lasers, pyrotechnics, and giant screens in a unique festive and intergenerational atmosphere.

Edition 2026

GEMF — edition 2026

After three memorable editions, the GEMF organizers have announced a break for 2026. This decision, linked to rising logistical costs and reduced subsidies, is not final: the ACARA association wishes to take time to rethink the festival's format to come back stronger.

2026 Edition — Break Year

The ACARA association announced in late 2025 that there would be no GEMF edition in 2026. This decision results from a difficult context for cultural events: rising technical, logistical, and security costs, reduced public subsidies, and an increase in events that destabilize the economic balance of festivals. The organizers specify that this break is not final and that they wish to rethink the project to ensure its sustainability. The association continues its activities with the Apéros Électro, summer parties organized every Monday by the lake of Gérardmer.

The Gérardmer Electro Mountain Festival: Electrified Mountains

Created in 2023 by the ACARA association, the Gérardmer Electro Mountain Festival (GEMF) has quickly established itself as the unmissable event for electronic music in the Grand Est region. In just three editions, this winter festival has managed to unite a passionate audience from the Vosges, the entire region, and even abroad, bringing together up to 2,800 festival-goers per night on the dancefloor of the Espace L.A.C.

An exceptional setting by the lake

The festival takes place at the Espace L.A.C. (Loisirs, Animations, Congrès), an emblematic building located at 17 Faubourg de Ramberchamp, on the edge of the famous Gérardmer lake. This congress center offers an ideal setting to host a large-scale event, with adapted capacity and immediate proximity to the city center and the Vosges ski resorts. The mountain setting gives the GEMF a unique identity in the French electro festival landscape.

A growing program

From its first edition in March 2023, the GEMF made a strong impact with artists like Klingande, master of melodic house, Boris Way, and Morgan Nagoya. The second edition in 2024 reached a new level with The Avener and Vladimir Cauchemar as headliners, accompanied by Feder, Florian Picasso, Julian Jordan, and Sara Costa. The third edition in 2025 continued this upscale trend with Henri PFR, Mosimann, Boris Way, Oriska, and Citadelle.

A total sensory experience

Beyond the music, the GEMF focuses on spectacular scenography inspired by the mountain universe: winter decorations, lasers, pyrotechnic effects, giant screens, and drones create an immersive atmosphere. Each night offers eight hours of continuous programming, from 5:30 PM to 1:00 AM, with alternating sets that build intensity throughout the night. A cashless system, varied catering, and accessible parking complete the festival experience.

A festival driven by volunteer passion

One of the strengths of the GEMF lies in its 100% volunteer organization. From programming to logistics, scenography, communication, and artist reception, every aspect of the festival is driven by enthusiasts of electronic music and their Vosges region. This collective energy has allowed the festival to grow rapidly and become a lasting part of Gérardmer's cultural landscape.
