God Save The Kouign Vol. 7 — 2026 Edition
Volume 7 marks an important milestone for the Penmarc'h rock festival with an unprecedented extension to three full days, from Friday, June 12 to Sunday, June 14, 2026. The particularly ambitious lineup covers all facets of contemporary rock: from glam rock to post-punk, including electric folk, blues rock, alternative rock, and post-hardcore.
An International Lineup
Of the 24 bands programmed, 17 come from abroad (United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Ireland), and several had never played in Brittany before. Three iconic headliners punctuate each day:
- Friday, June 12: The Darkness, spearheads of British glam rock
- Saturday, June 13: Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls, an essential figure of English folk-punk
- Sunday, June 14: White Lies, London post-punk band
A Unique Seaside Setting
Located at the Stade Municipal de Penmarc'h, the festival benefits from an exceptional setting between land and sea, at the tip of Pays Bigouden. Two stages host artists in a human-scale atmosphere. Camping remains free to allow festival-goers to extend the experience, and local catering highlights Finistère's regional products.

God Save The Kouign: Rock Roars in Pays Bigouden
God Save The Kouign was born on June 9, 2018, in Penmarc'h, Pays Bigouden, from the desire of a group of rock and Breton gastronomy enthusiasts. The festival's name pays homage to kouign-amann, the famous buttery pastry from Finistère, while proudly displaying its rock'n'roll identity. From its very first edition, the festival attracted 2,250 paying attendees and donated 3,000 euros to the association "Un Horizon d'Espoir" against pediatric cancer.
An Ambitious Rock Lineup
Since its creation, God Save The Kouign has continuously grown. The festival features international headliners alongside emerging bands, covering the entire spectrum of rock: from glam rock to post-punk, including indie rock, garage, blues rock, and electric folk. The 2025 edition (Volume 6) hosted artists such as Fun Lovin' Criminals, The Limiñanas, Royal Republic, D-A-D, and KO KO MO, while the 2026 edition (Volume 7) announces The Darkness, Frank Turner, and White Lies as headliners.
A Unique Seaside Setting
Located at the Stade Municipal de Penmarc'h, the festival benefits from an exceptional setting between land and sea, at the tip of Pays Bigouden. Two stages host about twenty bands over two to three days, in a human-scale atmosphere with a limited capacity of 4,000 people per day. Free camping allows festival-goers to extend the experience, while local food stands showcase products from the Finistère region.
Rock and Solidarity
Beyond the music, God Save The Kouign is committed to a solidary and responsible approach. Since its beginnings, the festival has donated a portion of its profits to charitable organizations. Driven by around 200 volunteers and supported by the municipality of Penmarc'h and the Cap Caval venue, the event embodies the festive and generous spirit of Brittany. Children under 16 have free entry, making the festival a family-friendly event as well as a rock one.
