About Hommelpap Festival

Since 1996, the Beck family and the Hommelpap association have been hosting a celebration of the hop harvest in Bailleul, honoring a crop that defined Flanders for centuries. The event takes place at Ferme Beck, which still maintains its own hop field and brews the local Hommelpap beer on-site.

Since 2018, the weekend has kicked off with an open-air concert called "La Nuit du Houblon" two days before the traditional Sunday festivities, featuring a lineup that has previously included artists such as Tryo, La Rue Kétanou, The Dublin Legends, and Danakil.

Programme Hommelpap Festival 2026

Friday, September 4th — The Night of the Hops

  • 5:30 PM — Doors open · outdoor concert
  • Burning Spear
  • Caravan Palace
  • Wüstenberg
  • Freddy Loco & The Cordo Ska Band

Specific set times for each band have not been announced for this year. On-site food and drinks (bar-snack menu) and free parking are available.

Sunday, September 6th — Fête de l'Hommelpap

  • 11:00 AM — Opening · hop harvesting demonstration and showcase of Flemish draft horses
  • Tasting of Hommelpap beer brewed on-site
  • Donkey rides and cart tours
  • Vintage tractor exhibition
  • Market featuring regional producers and artisans
  • Live music and entertainment throughout the day
  • 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM — Country evening: spit-roasted pig and traditional mannequin burning

Continuous food service available outdoors and under a marquee; no reservations required.

Prices Hommelpap Festival 2026

La Nuit du Houblon (Friday): €36 in advance, €42 at the gate, €10 for children under 12. Fête de l'Hommelpap (Sunday): €8, free for children under 12.
