About Mont Bonheur Festival
For one weekend, the Festival Mont Bonheur brings together forest walks, wellness workshops, and artistic encounters in the Mont Noir departmental park in Saint-Jans-Cappel. Organized by the Cœur de Flandre urban community in partnership with the Villa Marguerite Yourcenar, the event is part of the European Interreg Clim@Monts program, which focuses on nature conservation in the Monts de Flandre.
Admission is free, and the activities are designed for all ages, with some sessions offered in Dutch for visitors from neighboring Belgium.
Mont Bonheur Festival — edition 2026
For its inaugural edition, the Festival Mont Bonheur arrives on September 12th and 13th, 2026, in the grounds of the Mont Noir park, surrounding the Villa Marguerite Yourcenar. Enjoy a series of open-air nature walks, relaxation workshops, concerts, and exhibitions, with a special focus on sophrology, yoga, and guided hikes. Please note that some of the more intimate sessions require advance registration.

Practical information — Mont Bonheur Festival
Access via the Villa Marguerite Yourcenar, 2266 route du Parc, 59270 Saint-Jans-Cappel, located within the Mont Noir departmental park. Admission is free. Some activities require prior registration, which must be booked online before the deadline a few days before the festival. Exhibitors (jewelry, cosmetics, honey and herbal teas, wooden games, books) and food stalls will be available on-site throughout the weekend.
