Le Lys Festival: Music takes over the Grand Place of Comines

The Lys Festival is a young music festival created in 2022 on the Grand Place of Comines, a small border town located on the banks of the Lys river, in the Lille metropolis. In just a few editions, it has quickly become an unmissable event of the back-to-school season in the North.

A Pop, Electro, and Rock Lineup

The festival offers a lineup resolutely focused on pop, electro, and rock. Previous editions have hosted artists such as Hoshi, Kavinsky, Petit Biscuit, Mosimann, Bon Entendeur, Breakbot & Irfane, Henri PFR, and Michaël Canitrot, confirming the festival's ambition to feature top-tier artists in a human-scale setting.

A Three-Day Format

Each edition takes place over three days in September, with themed evenings:

• Friday: Pop and chanson evening with French-speaking artists
• Saturday: Electro evening with the best French DJs and producers
• Sunday: Festive day with tributes to music legends

A Unique Setting on the Banks of the Lys

The Grand Place of Comines offers a heritage and friendly setting, with its listed belfry and Flemish houses. The proximity to the Belgian border attracts a binational audience, adding to the European dimension of the event.

Comines' location on the Belgian border gives the Lys Festival a natural cross-border dimension. The Belgian public, particularly from Comines-Warneton on the Walloon side, mingles with French spectators in a friendly and European atmosphere. This cultural mix enriches the festival's ambiance.
