A new festival born from a split with the CCCE
The Ici et Encore Là Festival was established in 2026 by the J3V - Jeunesse 3 Villages association, based in Evrange (57). Since 2021, this association had organized the 'Ici ou Là' theater festival in partnership with the Communauté de Communes de Cattenom et Environs (CCCE), which served as the sole funder. The agreement was terminated by the CCCE on March 31st, 2026, after J3V refused to remove the show Le Mythe de Clitôris by the Compagnie La Grande Roue from the program. The Observatory of Freedom of Creation, affiliated with the Human Rights League, questioned the CCCE regarding this censorship in May 2026.
Rather than giving up, J3V built a new event, independent of the local authority, relying on artistic companies, volunteers, municipalities, and residents for accommodation, as well as a solidarity fund and public donations.
Six municipalities, six shows
The festival runs from Friday, September 25th to Sunday, September 27th, 2026, across six municipalities: Evrange, Hagen, Basse-Rentgen/Preisch, Roussy-le-Village, Volmerange-les-Mines, and Escherange. The professional, multidisciplinary program features dance, lecture-performances, musical storytelling, children's shows, and burlesque theater, held in local venues such as community halls, farm courtyards, and castles.
An association rooted in the region
J3V - Jeunesse 3 Villages is the organizing association, based in Evrange. Show bookings are handled via the Weezevent platform, opening online in September.
