Traveling stage for young audiences in Loir-et-Cher
La Familia is a traveling stage dedicated to children and youth, led by the Halle aux Grains - Scène nationale de Blois. Created in 2023, this original initiative travels through the Loir-et-Cher region with its mobile seating to offer quality performances for children and families in public spaces, both rural and urban. Each season, La Familia programs about twenty shows and over fifty performances in about ten towns, in partnership with Agglopolys and the Department of Loir-et-Cher, making culture a common good accessible to all territories.
La Familia is an innovative cultural program led by the Halle aux Grains - Scène nationale de Blois. Created in 2023, this traveling stage aims to reach audiences by offering accessible performances for children and young people throughout Loir-et-Cher each season.
Thanks to its mobile seating, La Familia takes over public spaces in the region's towns: village squares, schoolyards, community halls, parks, and gardens. Whether indoors or outdoors, in the city or the countryside, the traveling stage adapts to locations and audiences to offer quality performances under professional conditions.
Each season, La Familia presents approximately 18 shows and 54 performances in about ten towns. The program, designed in close collaboration with municipalities and local stakeholders, covers a wide spectrum of performing arts: theater, puppetry, circus, dance, music, and visual arts, with offerings suitable for all ages, from toddlers to teenagers.
La Familia is supported by the Halle aux Grains - Scène nationale de Blois with the backing of the Department of Loir-et-Cher and in partnership with Agglopolys - Blois Urban Community. This initiative demonstrates the Scène nationale's commitment to cultural decentralization and access to the arts for everyone, including in areas furthest from major cultural institutions.
By hosting touring companies and emerging artists, La Familia also contributes to the dissemination of contemporary creations for young audiences. The shows are selected for their artistic quality, their ability to spark imagination, and to foster dialogue between generations.
La Familia travels to about ten towns in Loir-et-Cher each season. Performance venues vary: public squares, schoolyards, community halls, parks, and gardens. The towns hosting La Familia are announced at the beginning of the season.
La Familia shows are offered at very affordable prices. Bookings can be made through the Halle aux Grains - Scène nationale de Blois or directly with the partner towns.
The shows are aimed at children, teenagers, and families. The recommended age is specified for each show in the program.
La Familia schedules shows throughout the cultural season (October to June), with highlights during school holidays.
