About Grande Rêverie
Grande Rêverie — edition 2026
The 5th edition of La Grande Rêverie, a festival of arts and ecology, will take place from August 28 to 30, 2026, at Parc Chabrières in Oullins-Pierre-Bénite. Three days of live performances (circus, theatre, dance, music), creative workshops, open stages, and committed encounters in a green and family-friendly setting, with free admission.
5th Edition — August 28 to 30, 2026
La Grande Rêverie returns to Parc Chabrières for its 5th edition, under the banner of arts, ecology, and inclusion. Organized by Compagnie La Rouquine, the program offers shows and workshops for all ages: theatre, writing, dance, creative upcycling, as well as two open stages and a folk dance. Young and old are invited to wander among the circus, theatre, dance, and music performances that punctuate the park, where more than a dozen companies perform on scattered stages.
Beyond the scheduled performances, the festival offers open stages where everyone can express themselves, creative workshops (manual, singing, visual arts, writing), an associative village bringing together local actors in ecology and solidarity, as well as a relaxation area with an open-air lending library. A baby area offers gentle motor skill activities for toddlers.
The full program will be unveiled during summer 2026 and continuously updated on the company's website and social media.

La Grande Rêverie: When Art and Ecology Meet
Since 2022, the La Grande Rêverie festival has established itself as a unique event in the cultural landscape of the Lyon metropolitan area. Driven by the Compagnie La Rouquine, based in Oullins since 2013, this festival was born from a deep desire to bring people together and create spaces where everyone can find their place and explore their creative potential, after the upheavals of the Covid-19 health crisis.
A Park Transformed into an Artistic Playground
Every last weekend of August, the magnificent Parc Chabrières, a green space shared by Oullins and Pierre-Bénite, transforms into a true ephemeral village dedicated to arts and ecology. For three days, young and old are invited to wander among the circus, theater, dance, and music performances that punctuate the program. More than ten companies perform on stages scattered throughout the park, offering an immersive and friendly experience.
A Resolutely Participatory Program
The originality of La Grande Rêverie lies in its participatory and inclusive dimension. Beyond the scheduled performances, the festival offers open stages where everyone can express themselves, creative workshops (crafts, singing, visual arts, writing), an associative village bringing together local players in ecology and solidarity, as well as a relaxation area with a game library and an open-air library. The 2025 edition, titled "Invisible Worlds," explores the links between art, nature, and sensory perception.
A Free and Committed Festival
True to its values of accessibility, La Grande Rêverie operates on the principle of "prix libre" (pay-what-you-can), allowing each spectator to contribute according to their means. This generous philosophy, supported by a team of committed volunteers and by the municipalities of Oullins-Pierre-Bénite and the Métropole de Lyon, makes this festival a model of a supportive and eco-responsible cultural event. Food trucks offer local and seasonal catering, extending the festival's ecological commitment.
Strong Territorial Anchoring
Located in the southwest of the Lyon metropolitan area, La Grande Rêverie plays a unifying role for the inhabitants of Oullins-Pierre-Bénite, a new municipality born from the merger of the two cities in 2024. The festival builds bridges between generations, neighborhoods, and cultures, making Parc Chabrières a space for shared encounters and creativity.
