Free and friendly festival in the heart of a Champagne village
Born in 2019, La Tête dans le Fion is one of those festivals that prove that passion and volunteer commitment can create quality cultural events. Every year, about a hundred volunteers mobilize to organize this free musical gathering in the heart of the charming village of Saint-Amand-sur-Fion, nestled in the Fion valley in Champagne.
The festival offers a dense and varied program on two stages, allowing for non-stop concerts from Friday to Saturday evening. Rock, metal, reggae, electro, funk, soul, Latin music: the musical genres follow one another to satisfy all tastes. The festival has notably hosted bands like No One Is Innocent, Maracujah, and the Dapilz.
Beyond music, La Tête dans le Fion integrates a visual artistic dimension that varies each year. In 2025, photography is in the spotlight with exhibitions, installations, and visual surprises scattered throughout the village. This multidisciplinary approach enriches the festival experience and invites exploration.
Free access is at the heart of the festival's identity. To maintain this free access to culture, the association La Tête dans le Fion relies on crowdfunding and finances itself through sales at the bar, food trucks, and merchandise. This solidarity-based economic model makes it possible to offer a quality event accessible to all.
8th edition of La Tête dans le Fion, an entirely free music festival in Saint-Amand-sur-Fion (Marne), on Friday, June 12th and Saturday, June 13th, 2026. Eclectic program on two stages mixing electro, rock, reggae, funk, and indie pop, with No One Is Innocent, Maracujah, Antoine Garrel, Treekong, and about ten other artists. The 2026 edition highlights 'Récup'Art' through stage installations.
For its 2026 edition, La Tête dans le Fion returns on Friday, June 12th and Saturday, June 13th to the village of Saint-Amand-sur-Fion, faithful to its formula: two evenings of free concerts on two stages, supported by a hundred volunteers. This year's artistic theme is 'Récup'Art' — creation and expression from recovered and repurposed materials — which permeates the scenography and installations scattered throughout the village. Visual performers will include Compost Collap's, The Street Dreamers, and Compagnie Titanos.
Friday, June 12th is dedicated to electronic music with DJs Greysha and Callahan, as well as the indie pop of Antoine Garrel accompanied by Collectif Hexa. Saturday, June 13th switches to live concerts with Slide & The Pocket Connection, Younger Spirit, Treekong (reggae-dub), No One Is Innocent (committed rock), and Maracujah (sunny rhythms) as the closing act.
Free admission remains the festival's DNA, funded by bar sales, food trucks, merchandise, and participatory patronage. The association also continues its eco-responsible approach: selective sorting, reusable cups, fight against food waste, support for local economic actors.
Visual arts side: Compost Collap's, The Street Dreamers, and Compagnie Titanos will animate the village around the theme 'Récup'Art'.
