About La Villageoise
La Villageoise blends a traditional village fête with a performing arts festival in Bergesserin, located in the heart of the Clunisois. This back-to-school weekend brings together circus acts, street performance, music, theater, and shows for young audiences, moving from the schoolyard to the village sanatorium with roaming performances, DJ sets, and open-mic sessions.
Alongside the main program, the festival captures the spirit of a classic village fair: human pétanque, cherry pit spitting contests, karaoke, and wooden lawn games, all accompanied by a refreshment bar hosted throughout the weekend by the Clunisois beer salon.
La Villageoise — edition 2026
The 2026 edition takes place on September 5th and 6th, between the school courtyard and the Bergesserin sanatorium. Saturday features the B-Side Company (circus, trapeze), Muchmuche Company (juggling, dance), and an evening concert; Sunday focuses on younger audiences with Le Cri de la Fraise and a clown show by Le Cirque inachevé.
