LAN party and video game tournaments in a rural setting in Landivy
LAN' Divy is a video game event organized every spring by the association SurviveBox at the community hall in Landivy, Mayenne. For a weekend, between 40 and 60 players gather for competitive tournaments on several games (Minecraft, Rocket League, Counter-Strike, Worms WMD), with live commentary and streaming on Twitch. The event also offers free console entertainment for visitors, with the aim of democratizing video games in rural areas.
Created in 2018 by the association SurviveBox, LAN' Divy is a LAN party that aims to popularize video games in rural areas. Every spring, the Landivy community hall transforms into a gaming arena for a weekend, bringing together between 40 and 60 players from across the region to compete in a competitive yet friendly atmosphere.
The heart of LAN' Divy lies in its competitive tournaments organized on several popular games. The 2025 edition featured four titles:
The matches are commented live by hosts and broadcast via streaming on Twitch through the SurviveBox channel, allowing remote viewers to follow the action in real-time. A prize pool of €1,000 is distributed among the winners based on their overall ranking.
Beyond the tournaments, LAN' Divy offers free entertainment accessible to visitors throughout the weekend. Console gaming stations are available, allowing the curious to discover the world of gaming in a relaxed atmosphere. The event also celebrates the anniversaries of iconic games, such as the 30th anniversary of Rayman during the 2025 edition.
The SurviveBox association, based in Landivy, carries this project with the conviction that video game culture has its rightful place in rural areas. Outside of LAN' Divy, the association participates in other regional gaming events, such as Felger Games in Fougères, and engages the local community around video games year-round.
Players registered for the tournaments can access the hall from Friday evening, allowing them to settle in and prepare. The first tournaments begin on Saturday at 10 AM and continue until Sunday. Food and drinks are available on-site, creating a true gaming bubble for the weekend.
The 9th edition of LAN' Divy is scheduled for spring 2026 at the community hall in Landivy. Details of the program and selected games will be announced on the official website.
