Latéral Festival #2 — The Confirmation
After the success of the inaugural edition in 2025 (sold out), the Latéral Festival returns on Saturday, June 13, 2026 under the lateral stands of the Geoffroy-Guichard stadium for its second edition. True to its identity at the crossroads of electronic music and dub culture, the festival offers another night of music from 9 PM to 5 AM, with two face-to-face stages playing simultaneously.
Bloc Stage — Techno in the Spotlight (Henri-Point Stand)
Located under the Henri-Point stand, the Bloc stage this year welcomes a heavyweight headliner: Marcel Dettmann, an iconic figure of the Berlin techno scene and resident DJ of the legendary Berghain club. Alongside him, Mall Grab, an Australian producer with an incisive style blending lo-fi house and techno, establishes himself as one of the most prominent figures on the global electronic scene. Mad Rey, a French DJ and producer whose influences mix techno, EBM, and world music, ROÜGE, Johnny Debb, and Nadia Fuchsia complete an ambitious and eclectic techno lineup.
Dub Corner — Stand High Patrol Featured (Family Corner)
Located at the Family Corner, the Dub Corner is powered by ODG x LBS Soundsystem. This year it welcomes Stand High Patrol in a DJ set, the Rennes collective renowned for its unique approach to dub, mixing hip-hop, dancehall, and sound system influences. The duo THK x JAEL, Bleu Soleil in a DJ set, and ODG x LBS Soundsystem ensure a rich and varied dub program, between deep bass and enchanting riddims.
A Festival Between Detroit, Berlin, Chicago, and Kingston
Driven by the shared values of FZL and Poto Feu Records — openness to all, cohesion, territorial anchoring, promotion of local know-how, and limitation of environmental impact — the Latéral Festival brings together the influences of Detroit, Berlin, Chicago, and Kingston in the heart of Saint-Étienne. With this second edition, the festival confirms its anchoring in the Saint-Étienne festival landscape and its desire to offer a unique event in the Loire region.

A festival born from the meeting between FZL and Poto Feu Records
Latéral Festival is the result of the collaboration between two major players in the Loire music scene: the FZL association, which has been organizing Foreztival in Trelins since 2005 and produces concerts throughout the region, and Poto Feu Records, an independent Saint-Étienne label open to techno, house, electro, trap, and world music. Their union gave birth in 2025 to an unprecedented event in the cultural landscape of Saint-Étienne: a nocturnal festival entirely dedicated to electronic music and dub culture.
"Le Chaudron" as a setting
The choice of location is at the heart of the festival's identity. Latéral Festival takes place under the side aisles of the Geoffroy-Guichard stadium, the legendary home of AS Saint-Étienne, nicknamed "Le Chaudron" (The Cauldron). The spaces usually reserved for supporters are transformed for one night into a unique party venue, where the stadium's industrial architecture and the acoustics of the stands create a singular atmosphere, at the crossroads of clubbing and open-air events.
Two stages, two universes
The festival offers two face-to-face musical spaces, allowing festival-goers to navigate freely between two complementary sound universes:
- The "Bloc" stage — dedicated to techno and house, it hosts internationally renowned artists and emerging talents from the French and European electronic scene.
- The "Dub Corner" — a sound system space in the purest tradition of London dub culture, where deep basslines and reggae-dub echoes create an immersive and enveloping atmosphere.
Strong local roots
Supported by local stakeholders deeply rooted in the Loire region, Latéral Festival contributes to Saint-Étienne's reputation as a city of electronic music, alongside events like Positive Education or PHNMN Fréquences. By leveraging FZL's expertise in event organization and Poto Feu Records' artistic network, the festival offers a demanding yet accessible program, with reasonable prices and online ticketing via the Shotgun platform.
