Le Blues Autour du Zinc: Thirty Years of Blue Passion in Beauvais

Since 1996, the festival Le Blues Autour du Zinc has been resonating with guitar riffs and powerful blues voices in the streets and venues of Beauvais. Supported by the association Le Comptoir Magique and its founder Laurent Macimba, this event has become a must-attend for lovers of blues, soul, and African-American music in the Hauts-de-France region.

An Eclectic and Demanding Program

Each edition features around thirty artists over several days, blending international headliners and new discoveries. From Chicago blues to blues rock, from Delta blues to soul, including gospel and world music, the program embraces the full richness of the genre. Concerts take place in emblematic Beauvais locations: the Maladrerie Saint-Lazare, a historic 12th-century monument offering a unique setting, and the Théâtre du Beauvaisis, the city's national stage.

Themed Evenings

The festival regularly organizes themed evenings, such as Blues au féminin (Women in Blues), which highlights female artists on the blues scene, or tributes to the great figures of the genre. These special events contribute to the diversity and originality of the programming.

A Festival Rooted in its Territory

Beyond the concerts, Blues Autour du Zinc offers events in the city, exhibitions, meet-and-greets with artists, and music workshops. The festival relies on a network of passionate volunteers and the support of Beauvais businesses, making each edition a true moment of sharing and conviviality.

National and International Reach

Over the years, the festival has hosted world-renowned artists and is considered a benchmark for blues in Europe. Its commitment to artistic quality and the discovery of new talent earns it growing recognition among fans and professionals of the genre.
