Le choix des Anges Festival

A festival driven by the audience's vote

Founded in 2013 in Entraigues-sur-la-Sorgue, Le Choix des Anges brings together around 200 spectators each year for a night of short films. The concept is simple: attendees receive a ballot and vote for their favorite film from the curated selection. The winner is awarded an angel-shaped statuette, which gives the festival its name.

A carefully curated selection

From over 700 submissions received annually, 17 short films are chosen for the evening, spanning various genres such as fiction, animation, and documentary. Selection criteria include films under 18 minutes in length, in French or with French subtitles, suitable for a family audience, with no specific theme required.

A friendly evening with the filmmakers

The event features a screening lasting approximately 2 hours and 25 minutes, a social intermission with food, followed by the audience vote and the presentation of the Audience Award. Directors and film crews in attendance are available to chat with the audience. Admission is based on a voluntary, solidarity-based contribution.

Le Choix des Angelots, for younger audiences

The association has also created a spin-off event, Le Choix des Angelots, dedicated to short films for children aged 6 to 11.
