PANTAÏ, the street arts festival of Buis-les-Baronnies
Seven volunteers from the Baronnies Provençales, united under the Pantaï Prod association, created the PANTAÏ Festival to bring a free street arts event to this rural area. "Pantaï" means "dream" in the Provençal language.
A village turned into a stage for a day
In partnership with the town hall, the historic center of Buis-les-Baronnies is closed to traffic for the day. Performances take place on the cobbled squares and in the narrow streets, as well as in the town hall garden and the Dominican cloister.
The Program
Circus, clowning, street theater, dance, and music, for both children and adults from age 3. The first edition on October 4, 2025, features 9 professional companies and a circus school, totaling over 30 artists. For October 3, 2026, the association has announced three all-ages shows, five street performances, and two concerts.
A volunteer-run association
Pantaï Prod has been recognized as a non-profit of general interest since 2025 and dedicates its entire budget to organizing the festival. It pays, houses, and covers expenses for the programmed companies, funding the event through donations, partner support, and the "hats" passed around at the end of performances. On-site: refreshment bar, costume area, face painting, and activities.
