Free street arts and circus festival in the heart of Buis-les-Baronnies
The PANTAÏ Festival is a free street arts festival that takes place in the pedestrianized center of Buis-les-Baronnies, in Drôme provençale. Supported by the association PANTAÏ PROD and entirely run by volunteers, it brings together professional companies and a circus school for a festive day mixing dance, circus, theater, clown, and music. The village's squares and cobbled streets are transformed into open-air stages, featuring over 30 artists and 9 companies for a show accessible to all from 3 years old.
The PANTAÏ Festival was born from the passion of a group of seven volunteers living in the Baronnies provençales, united within the PANTAÏ PROD association. Their ambition: to create a festive, popular, and entirely free event, celebrating street arts in an exceptional setting.
For one day, the historic center of Buis-les-Baronnies is pedestrianized to host the festival. The cobbled squares, narrow streets, and fountains become stages for the artists. The municipality, a partner of the event, provides its public spaces to offer spectators an immersive experience in the heart of the village.
The festival features 9 professional companies and a circus school, totaling over 30 artists present throughout the day. The program covers all street arts disciplines: dance, circus, street theater, clown, and music. The shows are designed for all audiences, from 3 years old, ensuring a joyful and festive day for young and old alike.
PANTAÏ is distinguished by its entirely volunteer and associative model. The event is financed through donations and support from the local community via the HelloAsso platform. On-site, festival-goers can enjoy a refreshment bar, face painting, costumes, and various activities that enhance the atmosphere of shared celebration. The festival embodies the spirit of solidarity and conviviality of the Baronnies provençales.
