The benchmark festival for contemporary music in France
For nearly 50 years, Le Printemps de Bourges has established itself as the benchmark festival for contemporary music in France. Founded in 1977 by Daniel Colling and Alain-Dominique Perrin, its aim is to promote emerging artists while welcoming the biggest stars of French and international music.
Rock, pop, electro, rap, French chanson... Le Printemps de Bourges offers a rich and varied program that reflects the diversity of contemporary music. Multiple stages spread throughout the city allow you to discover more than 200 artists during the festival week. Le W, Le 22 Est & Ouest, L'Auditorium, and the Maison de la Culture host concerts in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
The festival is recognized for its ability to discover new talents. The iNOUÏS competition each year allows emerging artists to perform in front of professionals and the public. Many artists have achieved success after performing at Le Printemps de Bourges, from Zazie to Ben Mazué, including Calogero and Christine and the Queens.
To celebrate its 50th anniversary, Printemps de Bourges offers an exceptional program. Patti Smith, rock legend, Vanessa Paradis, Gims, Feu! Chatterton, Camille, Philippe Katerine, Imany, Charlotte Cardin, Josman, Charlie Winston, and Helena are among the announced artists for this historic edition.
The festival takes place in several venues in Bourges: Le W, Le 22 Est & Ouest, L'Auditorium, Maison de la Culture, and other locations in the city center.
