Les Contre-plongées: Clermont-Ferrand's Summer Culture

Since 2001, Les Contre-plongées de l'été have been the summer cultural program of the City of Clermont-Ferrand. Each year, from July to August, about fifty free events take over the city's public spaces to offer Clermont residents and visitors a summer rich in artistic discoveries.

A multidisciplinary festival

Les Contre-plongées offer an eclectic program that embraces many artistic disciplines:

• Open-air cinema: film screenings in the city's parks and squares
• Concerts: live music in emblematic venues
• Street performances: theater, contemporary circus, and performance arts
• Dance: outdoor shows and performances
• Readings: meetings with contemporary authors at the Muséum Henri-Lecoq
• Workshops: participatory activities for children and families

Organized by the Culture Department of the City of Clermont-Ferrand, Les Contre-plongées have become a must-attend event of the Clermont summer.
