About Les Enfantillages

Created in 1998, Les Enfantillages is the free summer event dedicated to young audiences in Cholet. Every summer in July, the Prairigolote in Parc de Moine hosts a variety of shows for children and families: theater, circus, magic, music, and creative workshops. Growing from a hundred children at its inception to over a thousand spectators today, this festival, organized in conjunction with the Théâtre Saint-Louis, has become a must-see event in Cholet's cultural landscape, offering young people free access to quality outdoor performances.

Les Enfantillages: Live Performance for Children

Since 1998, Les Enfantillages has taken over the Prairigolote in Parc de Moine in Cholet every summer to offer free outdoor performances for children and their families. This festival is the only cultural and summer event entirely dedicated to young audiences in the Cholet region, and over the years it has become an anticipated and unifying event.

Varied and Quality Performances

The programming of Les Enfantillages offers a wide diversity of artistic forms suitable for young audiences: street theater, circus, magic, musical shows, puppetry, storytelling, and participatory workshops. The invited companies present original creations, blending humor, poetry, and interactivity, to spark the curiosity and imagination of children. The shows take place outdoors, on the grass, in the green setting of Parc de Moine.

A Growing Festival

In its early days, Les Enfantillages attracted about a hundred children. Today, more than a thousand spectators gather with their families or through leisure centers to enjoy the diversity of the shows offered. This growth reflects the quality of the programming and the attachment of Cholet's residents to this free and popular summer event.

Commitment to Access to Culture

By offering free access to quality live performances, Les Enfantillages contributes to cultural democratization and the artistic awakening of young people. The festival is supported by the Théâtre Saint-Louis and is part of the cultural policy of the City of Cholet in favor of young audiences and artistic mediation.
