Les Eurythmies

A quarter of a century of culture in Pays Baralbin

Since its creation in 2001, the Les Eurythmies festival has been the result of volunteer commitment within the Maison Pour Tous Jean-Luc Petit in Bar-sur-Aube. Each year, a team of enthusiasts works to offer a quality cultural program in the Barsuraubois region, a rural area in the south of the Aube department that does not always benefit from abundant cultural offerings. Over the years, the festival has become a highly anticipated event for the inhabitants of Pays Baralbin and its surroundings, contributing to the cultural animation and influence of this region of Champagne.

A multidisciplinary and accessible program

The strength of Les Eurythmies lies in the diversity of its program. Contemporary music concerts, gypsy jazz, rock, French chanson, as well as theater performances, contemporary circus, film screenings, and street performances make up a rich and varied program. The festival unfolds across several emblematic sites in Pays Baralbin, notably the Espace Davot in Bar-sur-Aube and the Cristallerie Royale de Champagne in Bayel, offering a unique and intimate setting for each performance. The very affordable prices, from free to 10 euros, ensure that culture remains accessible to everyone.

A traveling festival rooted in its territory

One of the unique features of Les Eurythmies is its traveling nature within Pays Baralbin. By taking over different venues and towns in the area — Bar-sur-Aube, Bayel, and other surrounding villages — the festival builds connections between residents and promotes local heritage. The Sunday "Music Days", free days dedicated to musical workshops, games, and discovery activities for families, perfectly illustrate this desire to create social bonds through culture. These days allow children and adults to discover artistic practice in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

From Les Eurythmies to Les Fugues: a natural evolution

After 18 editions under the name Les Eurythmies, the festival has begun an evolution towards a new format called Les Fugues, while retaining the same ingredients that made it successful: a family-friendly and multidisciplinary event enriched with artistic workshops and cultural activities. This new version, condensed into three days, changes host town each year while remaining true to the spirit of Pays Baralbin. Whether it's called Les Eurythmies or Les Fugues, this festival remains a vibrant testament to the cultural vitality of rural Aube, driven by the passion and generosity of its volunteers.
