Rock, music, and BMX festival in the heart of the Jura forests
The Les Gueules de Bois Festival is a cultural and sporting event that began in 2019 in Légna, a small commune in the Jura nestled in a forest setting. Supported by the Festivalzin association, this atypical festival uniquely blends rock music, BMX, and alternative culture in a striking natural setting.
The festival takes place at the Côte des Vignes site in Légna, an area surrounded by forests overlooking the Valouse basin. This exceptional natural setting, between Jura fir trees and pastures, gives the festival a unique atmosphere, fully immersed in nature.
The festival's program revolves around three pillars: music, BMX, and wood. On the music side, the festival focuses on rock, punk, and alternative music. On the sports side, BMX competitions and demonstrations liven up the days. Wood, an emblematic resource of the Jura, is celebrated through various activities related to forest heritage and wood culture.
The festival offers free on-site camping (by reservation), allowing festival-goers to experience the full event over the three days. On-site catering and a merchandise shop complete the offerings.
Since its first edition in 2019, the festival has experienced remarkable growth, attracting 15,000 festival-goers in 2025 for its fifth edition. This success highlights the appeal of a human-sized festival, rooted in the Jura nature and driven by values of conviviality and sharing.
6th edition of the Les Gueules de Bois Festival, from August 20 to 22, 2026 in Légna (Jura), on the Côte des Vignes site. Three days of rock, punk, ska and fusion, wood culture and BMX, under the slogan "Unleash your thirst for music". On the program: Matmatah, Tagada Jones, The Rumjacks, Cockney Rejects, Moscow Death Brigade, La Phaze, Burning Heads and many more.
The Les Gueules de Bois Festival returns from August 20 to 22, 2026 in Légna for its 6th edition, on the Côte des Vignes site, in the heart of the Jura forests. An independent rock festival with an alternative aesthetic, it retains its signature formula "Wood, Music, BMX": a rock program tinged with punk, ska and fusion, a strong artisanal base around woodworking, and a spectacular sporting dimension with a BMX jump park (extreme sports demonstrations and activities).
The 2025 edition gathered approximately 15,000 participants. The 2026 edition, under the slogan "Unleash your thirst for music", offers a free bivouac area (by reservation) and remains open to volunteers and BMX riders.
