Musical evenings in the heart of Billom

Every summer Thursday evening, the Théâtre de Verdure located in the garden of the Saint-Loup church in Billom transforms into an open-air stage for the Jeudis du Pressoir. This exceptional medieval setting, in the heart of the historic town of Billom, offers a unique atmosphere for open-air concerts, from 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM. Admission is free, in a spirit of sharing and accessibility to culture for all.

An eclectic program

The program of Les Jeudis du Pressoir covers a wide spectrum of contemporary music: rock, reggae, French chanson, world music, cumbia, funk, jazz, and mixed music. Each evening generally features two bands or artists, allowing the public to discover various acts. The artists programmed include both established bands from the regional scene and young emerging talents.

A springboard for emerging artists

The association Les Jeudis du Pressoir organizes an annual musical competition open to artists from the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. This competition aims to discover, promote, and disseminate the musical works of local artists, while creating a space for exchange between musicians and the public. Registrations for the competition are made via the association's website, with a deadline of January 31st each year.

Conviviality and local gastronomy

The evenings of Les Jeudis du Pressoir are accompanied by a bar and light catering offering local products. The friendly and relaxed atmosphere makes every Thursday an occasion for celebration shared among the inhabitants of Billom, vacationers, and visitors passing through the Livradois-Forez region.
