Over 180 Attractions
With over 180 rides, attractions, and stalls, the Funfair is one of the largest in France. You'll find timeless classics — bumper cars, Ferris wheel, rifle shooting, duck fishing — and the latest generation of thrill rides that compete in daring and technology. Each edition features its share of new rides from all over Europe.
Two Events Per Year
The funfair takes place twice a year: the spring fair (April-May) and the summer fair (late August - late September). Each lasts about a month, offering many opportunities to enjoy the attractions.
Special Days and Offers
Discounted days are regularly offered: opening day with a "buy one ride, get one free" offer, student nights, family days. The showmen compete with promotional offers to attract the public throughout the month.
A Festive and Popular Atmosphere
The Funfair is a place for gatherings and conviviality. Families visit from generation to generation, friends meet up on weekends, and students take over Friday and Saturday nights. The atmosphere is electric, with shouts of joy on the rides, the smell of waffles, and fairground music. The official inauguration, in the presence of the Queen of Showmen and local officials, kicks off the month of festivities in a celebratory atmosphere.
A Major Economic Event
The funfair also represents an important economic event for the Lille metropolis, with significant benefits for showmen, restaurateurs, and local businesses. It is the result of close collaboration between the City of Lille and showmen's organizations.
