The Maison des Arts de Créteil
The MAC is a national stage located at Place Salvador-Allende in Créteil. Inaugurated in 1975, it produces and hosts all forms of performing arts. It features four distinct spaces: the Grande Salle, the Petite Salle, the Satellite, and the Piscine, the latter of which hosts exhibitions.
Julie Sanerot has directed the institution since September 1, 2025. A graduate of ESCP Europe and HEC Paris in arts and culture management, she has worked with the Théâtre National de la Colline, the Opéra National de Paris, the Théâtre National de Chaillot, and the Centre chorégraphique national de Créteil et du Val-de-Marne. She joined the CENTQUATRE-PARIS in 2007, where she served as production director and later deputy for artistic programming, and where she led the Némo digital arts biennial starting in 2019. Her vision for the MAC is titled "weaving ties, building territory."
Mouvements Perpétuels, the festival of movement arts
The 2026-2027 season marks the birth of Mouvements Perpétuels, which the MAC presents as its international festival of movement arts and the only new festival it is launching this season. The first edition runs from January 6 to 30, 2027, and features ten performances and one exhibition, spanning dance, circus, and theater, including new creations, two public residency showcases, and a program by the Ballet Preljocaj.
The festival relies on the house's associated and collaborating artists. For this first season, the associated artists are Lucie Antunes, Éric Reinhardt, Élise Chatauret, Alexander Vantournhout, and Camille Lévêque. Locally, the MAC has announced its first festival partners: the CCN de Créteil et du Val-de-Marne | EMKA, the Marcel Dadi Regional Conservatory of Créteil, the Université Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC), and the Société des Grands Projets.
