Saint-Maurice Patronal Festival, a late September weekend
2026
About Fête de Saint-Maurice
The Saint-Maurice festival is the patronal celebration of Saint-Maurice, a town in the Val-de-Marne region bordering the Marne River. The city hosts the event over two days during a weekend in late September, featuring municipal facility inaugurations, a mass at the local church, an exhibition at the Eugène Delacroix media library, a show at the Théâtre du Val d'Osne, a neighborhood aperitif at the Émile Bertrand market, and children's activities organized by the Festival Committee. Twin towns are also involved, particularly Erlenbach am Main.

2026 Edition
The City of Saint-Maurice has announced that the Saint-Maurice Festival will be held on Saturday, September 26th and Sunday, September 27th, 2026. While the full program is pending, four key events have been confirmed: the inauguration of the Lise Legrand sports center, a tree-planting ceremony at Place Erlenbach, the 30th anniversary of the German twinning, and the inauguration of the Émile Bertrand market.
The renovated COSEC
The summer 2026 issue of the municipal magazine Saint-Maurice Info reports that the COSEC, which has been under renovation since September 2025, will be inaugurated in late September 2026 during the Saint-Maurice Festival. The project cost over 4 million euros, with nearly 64% of the pre-tax amount covered by subsidies, and is scheduled to reopen in the autumn of 2026.
30th Anniversary of the twinning with Erlenbach am Main
The twinning agreement with Erlenbach am Main was signed on September 28, 1996, in Saint-Maurice, and since 1991, each town has participated in the other's annual festival. To mark the 30th anniversary, the twinning committee of both towns is organizing a photo contest themed around the rivers that border them, the Marne and the Main. The three prizes will be awarded during the festival, and the winning photos from both Saint-Maurice and Erlenbach will be exhibited in both town halls.
The previous edition
In 2025, the festival took place on September 27th and 28th and featured the unveiling of the COSEC construction launch sign, the inauguration of the Urban Supervision Center, the Saint-Maurice and twinning luncheon at Espace Delacroix, an exhibition opening at the Eugène Delacroix media library, a family show at the Théâtre du Val d'Osne, the Saint-Maurice mass at the local church, a neighborhood aperitif at the Émile Bertrand market, and a children's party at Place du Cadran. The City has not indicated whether this schedule will be repeated in 2026.

The City organizes the festival. Twin towns
Saint-Maurice is twinned with Saint-Maurice du Valais in Switzerland, a partnership ratified in 1956 and signed in 1957; with Erlenbach am Main in Germany, signed on September 28th, 1996; and with Curtarolo in Italy, signed in France on September 29th, 1993, during the Saint-Maurice festival. Since 1991, Saint-Maurice and Erlenbach have participated in each other's annual festivals: the Saint-Maurice in September and the Hofschoppenfest in July. Joint celebrations are organized every year for the Saint-Maurice festival.
The Festival Committee
The Saint-Maurice Festival Committee organizes events throughout the year. In 2026, they are planning a grand bingo on February 22nd, an Easter egg hunt on April 12th at the Square du Val d'Osne, and the Montgolfier flea market on June 14th.
