Reggae, dub and electro by the Lac du Bourdon in Puisaye
Born in 2022 on the shores of Lac du Bourdon in Saint-Fargeau, Mammouth Fest is an eclectic and 100% non-profit festival run by Asso Mammouth. Over three days, it brings together reggae, dub, electro, techno, and hip-hop on several stages set in an exceptional natural setting in the heart of Burgundy's Puisaye region. With international headliners like Tiken Jah Fakoly, Julian Marley, Oxmo Puccino, and Alborosie, the festival showcases growing artistic ambition each year while remaining anchored in its values of conviviality, ecology, and solidarity.
Mammouth Fest was born in 2022 from the desire of Asso Mammouth, a passionate collective based in Saint-Fargeau, to create a major summer music event on the shores of Lac du Bourdon. This vast body of water in Puisaye, surrounded by forests and meadows, offers a beautifully natural setting for an ambitious and diverse festival. From its very first edition, Mammouth Fest has stood out with its bold programming, blending reggae, dub, electro, techno, and hip-hop, featuring around thirty artists across three stages.
Over the years, Mammouth Fest has established its unique character on the regional and national festival scene. The programming effortlessly navigates between genres: from roots reggae and dub, championed by artists like Tiken Jah Fakoly, Julian Marley, Alborosie, Jahneration, Queen Omega, and Yaniss Odua, to electro and techno with Vladimir Cauchemar, Étienne de Crécy, Fakear, Dirtyphonics, and Popof, as well as hip-hop with Oxmo Puccino, Médine, Hugo TSR, and Chill Bump.
Sound systems hold a special place in the festival''s identity: the collective Dawa Hifi is a key figure, while acts like O.B.F x Iration Steppas, Stand High Patrol, and Full Dub keep the lake vibrating into the early hours. The energy of dub and electro blends with the rhythm of the bass to create a unique sensory experience.
The festival takes place at Les Landris, on the banks of Lac du Bourdon, in Saint-Fargeau (Yonne). This artificial lake, covering nearly 200 hectares, is one of the largest in Burgundy. Its forest and lakeside setting creates an incomparable atmosphere, transforming the festival into a timeless escape. Asso Mammouth also manages the Guinguette en Scène on this site, a concert stage open throughout the summer, demonstrating the collective's deep roots in local cultural life.
The festival grounds span several hectares and feature multiple stages, including a large main stage, a covered electro stage, and sound system areas. Camping is available nearby, notably at the Camping de la Calanque located on the lake's shores.
Asso Mammouth places environmental responsibility at the core of its project. The festival prioritizes short supply chains for catering, with stalls offering local and organic products. Waste management and ecological awareness are integral parts of the event. Through its non-profit status and participatory governance, Mammouth Fest contributes to the cultural and economic development of the Puisaye-Forterre region, a rural area in northwestern Yonne.
The 4th edition of Mammouth Fest, from August 15th to 17th, 2025, featured an exceptional lineup with Tiken Jah Fakoly, Julian Marley, and Oxmo Puccino as headliners. The 2025 edition confirmed the festival's growing momentum, with a three-day program covering all genres: punk-ska with The Locos, electro with Vladimir Cauchemar and Billx, hip-hop with Médine and L.E.J, dub with Taiwan MC, and world music with Flavia Coelho. Mammouth Fest 2025 solidified its status as a must-attend festival of the Burgundy summer season.
