A real medieval military camp with period tents, authentic weapons, and equipment is set up on the castle's esplanade. Historical reenactment groups present the daily life of medieval warriors, their combat techniques, their weaponry, and their military organization.

A Medieval Market offers artisanal products, period items, leatherwork, blacksmithing, pottery, and other ancestral crafts. Artisans in period costume showcase their traditional skills and offer their creations.

Medieval Festival 2026
On Sunday, July 19, 2026, the Château de la Roche-Courbon organizes its traditional medieval festival, an unmissable summer event in Charente-Maritime. On the castle esplanade, a reenactment troupe sets up a 15th-century military camp and recreates the daily life of a period camp.

- Reenactment of a medieval military camp
