Medieval festival at the Château de Morlanne in Béarn
Each summer, the Château de Morlanne opens its doors wide for its Medieval Festival, an immersive event that transports visitors centuries back in time. This 14th-century fortress, built by Gaston Fébus, offers an authentic and striking setting to relive the traditions of the Middle Ages in Béarn.

The Château de Morlanne is a medieval fortress built in 1373 by Gaston Fébus, Viscount of Béarn. This square-plan fortified castle, flanked by corner towers, was magnificently restored in the 20th century. It now houses a collection of furniture and art objects and hosts performances, exhibitions, and cultural events throughout the year.
Morlanne is a commune in Béarn located in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department, between Orthez and Arzacq. This peaceful village, dominated by the imposing silhouette of its castle, retains an authentic rural charm with its traditional houses and rolling landscapes.

Saturday and Sunday. Continuous entertainment from 10 am to 6 pm.
Adults: 15 euros for one day, 22 euros for a two-day pass. Reduced rate: 12 euros for one day, 18 euros for a pass. Children aged 6-18: 7 euros for one day, 10 euros for a pass. Free for children under 6.

The medieval site is partially accessible to people with reduced mobility. It is recommended to contact the organizers in advance to best prepare your visit.
Morlanne and its surroundings offer bed and breakfasts and rural gites. The towns of Orthez and Arzacq also offer various accommodation options.
Medieval catering is available on the event site with period specialties.
Wear comfortable shoes suitable for medieval terrain. In summer, remember to bring sunscreen, a hat, and water.
Due to the presence of animals (birds of prey, horses), dogs are generally not allowed on the site.
