The Medieval Festival of the Château de Morlanne is a summer event that immerses visitors in the heart of the Middle Ages in the exceptional setting of the fortified castle of Morlanne, in Béarn. For two days in August, historical reenactment troupes, falconers, blacksmiths, and artisans bring medieval traditions to life at the foot of this 14th-century fortress. The program includes armored combat, bird of prey shows, equestrian demonstrations, blacksmithing workshops for ages 5 and up, humorous historical theater performances, and musical entertainment, all in a festive and educational atmosphere.
Each summer, the Château de Morlanne opens its doors wide for its Medieval Festival, an immersive event that transports visitors centuries back in time. This 14th-century fortress, built by Gaston Fébus, offers an authentic and striking setting to relive the traditions of the Middle Ages in Béarn.

The Château de Morlanne is a medieval fortress built in 1373 by Gaston Fébus, Viscount of Béarn. This square-plan fortified castle, flanked by corner towers, was magnificently restored in the 20th century. It now houses a collection of furniture and art objects and hosts performances, exhibitions, and cultural events throughout the year.
Morlanne is a commune in Béarn located in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department, between Orthez and Arzacq. This peaceful village, dominated by the imposing silhouette of its castle, retains an authentic rural charm with its traditional houses and rolling landscapes.
