The Flers Christmas Market, integrated into the Emmitou'Flers festivities, is the flagship event for the end-of-year celebrations in the Orne bocage. Organized in early December, it brings together over 70 exhibitors offering arts and crafts, local produce, and original gift ideas. The Emmitou'Flers festivities run from late November to early January with a full program: luminous parade, video mapping, Christmas circus under a big top, illuminated tractor parade, creative workshops, puppet shows, and concerts.
For several years, the Emmitou'Flers festivities have become the unmissable event of the end-of-year celebrations in Orne. From November 29 to January 4, the town of Flers transforms into a true Christmas village, offering a rich and varied program for all ages.

A sub-prefecture of Orne, Flers is the economic and cultural heart of the Norman bocage. The town, surrounded by green hills and valleys, offers a pleasant setting for winter festivities. The town center, with its shops and restaurants, comes alive particularly during the Emmitou'Flers period.

By car: Flers is located 60 km west of Alençon via the D962 or the A88 (Flers exit). From Caen, take the A84 towards Rennes then exit for Flers (approx. 1h15). From Paris, take the A13 towards Caen then the A88 towards Alençon-Flers (approx. 3h). Free parking is available in the town center, very close to the event venues.
By train: Flers station is served by TER Normandie trains from Paris-Saint-Lazare (via Argentan, approx. 3h) and from Caen (approx. 1h30). The town center is a 10-minute walk from the station.
The Christmas market is held on the first weekend of December (Saturday and Sunday), from 10 am to 7 pm, in the center of Flers. Over 70 exhibitors present arts and crafts, local produce, and gift ideas. The chalets are set up in the pedestrian streets of the center.
The Christmas Circus, presented by Cirque-Théâtre Tempo, takes place from December 20 to 30 under a big top installed at the Flers bowling green. Several performances per day. Booking required, as places are limited. Tickets available online and at the tourist office.
The Emmitou'Flers program runs from November 29 to January 4. The "L'Envol" luminous parade takes place in mid-December in the early evening in the streets of the town center. The video mapping is projected on the buildings of the town center at dusk. The illuminated tractor parade crosses the town in the evening. These outdoor shows are free and accessible to all.
Access to the Christmas market, illuminations, and street shows is completely free. The Christmas circus is ticketed (prices announced when ticketing opens). Creative workshops for children are generally free or symbolic price.
Food stalls are present at the Christmas market: mulled wine, crepes, waffles, Norman specialties. The town center of Flers has many restaurants, brasseries, and shops open during the festivities.
