Supported by the MaCaO 7ème Art network (Association of Norman Cinemas), this festival offers kindergarten and elementary school students a demanding and diverse program: short and feature films, documentaries, animated films, art films, and rarely screened repertoire works. Cinéfilou: Cinema for the Youngest in Orne

Every October, the Cinéfilou in Orne festival transforms the twelve cinema screens in the department into places of discovery for the young audience. Organized by the MaCaO 7ème Art network (Association of Norman Cinemas), this festival is a highlight of image education in the department, offering a quality film program specially designed for children.

A Demanding and Diverse Program

The Cinéfilou program is designed to broaden the horizons of young viewers:

  • Documentaries: documentaries accessible to children
  • Art films and repertoire works rarely shown in theaters

  • Ciné-conte: a storyteller tells a story before the screening
  • Ciné-goûter: convivial screenings with shared snacks
  • Meetings with directors or film professionals
  • Workshops introducing cinema techniques
