Six free stages throughout the city on June 21, 2026
Every June 21, Annecy celebrates the Fête de la Musique (Music Festival): stages and musical pathways are set up throughout the city, from Le Pâquier to Albigny beach, passing through the delegated communes of Cran-Gevrier, Seynod, Meythet, and Pringy. Organized by the City of Annecy, the day is entirely free and blends all styles: pop, rock, reggae, jazz, and French popular music.
Since its national creation in 1982, the Fête de la Musique has become one of the major popular events of early summer in Annecy. On June 21, music freely takes over public spaces: amateur musicians, music school students, and established artists perform outdoors, from the lake shores to neighborhood squares, late into the evening.
The City of Annecy sets up half a dozen official stages in the city center and in the delegated communes, complemented by initiatives from bars, associations, and music schools. All these venues feature pop, rock, reggae, jazz, choral singing, and French popular music, in a festive and friendly atmosphere by the lake.
The historical highlight remains the Pâquier stage, set up annually with the contemporary music venue Le Brise Glace, facing the lake. Choral concerts also take over Saint-Pierre Cathedral, while musical strolls, open to both amateurs and professionals, invite people to wander among the musicians, reconnecting with the spontaneous spirit of the festival's origins.
The Fête de la Musique 2026 in Annecy will take place on Sunday, June 21st, from 5 PM to 11 PM, free of charge throughout the city. Six official stages will animate the Pâquier, Albigny beach, and the delegated communes, complemented by choir concerts at Saint-Pierre Cathedral and musical strolls.
