About Music Festival in Aubenas
Every June 21, Aubenas celebrates the Fête de la Musique (Music Festival) in its historic center: a main stage is set up in Place du Château and about ten more intimate stages enliven the streets and squares of the city center. Organized by the City of Aubenas and Le Bournot venue, the evening is entirely free and blends all styles, from pop to brassy hip-hop.
The Fête de la Musique in Aubenas
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the city of Aubenas into an open-air stage every June 21. Music freely takes over the historic center, from early evening until the heart of the night, in all genres and for all audiences. Several thousand spectators are expected each year.
A main stage and the entire center celebrating
The setup features a main stage in Place du Château, programmed with the municipal concert and performance venue Le Bournot, complemented by about ten smaller stages spread throughout the streets and squares of Aubenas' historic center. Bars, associations, music schools, and amateur musicians extend the celebration late into the night. To allow concerts to take place outdoors, traffic is prohibited in the city center from 7 PM.

The Fête de la Musique 2026 in Aubenas will take place on Sunday, June 21st, from 7 PM to 1 AM, free of charge throughout the historic center. A main stage will animate the Place du Château, complemented by about ten stages spread across the streets and squares of the city center.

The 2026 setup is organized around a main stage and about ten smaller stages in the historic center:
Place du Château — main stage
Headliner: DITTER (Punk Pop Club): the Parisian trio performs joyful pop infused with punk and electro, raw and organic. Opening act: Sax Machine (brass hip-hop) combines machines and brass instruments around the «Great Black Music», blending New Orleans brass band, cosmic soul, P-Funk, and boom bap. Stage programmed with the municipal venue Le Bournot.
Historic Center — about ten stages
All around, the streets and squares of the old town host about ten more intimate stages, animated by bars, associations, music schools, and amateur musicians, offering a wide variety of styles, until 1 AM.
