Music Festival in Brest — edition 2026

The 2026 Fête de la Musique in Brest takes place on Sunday, June 21st, with free events all over the city. Around twenty musical spots and seven main stages will be spread out from the Jardin Kennedy to the commercial port, passing through Recouvrance. Each location features its own musical vibe: electronic, world music, fest-noz, contemporary music, and conservatory orchestras. Festivities kick off in the morning at the Saint-Louis market and continue until 11:30 PM on the late-night stages.

A day of music throughout Brest

Since it falls on a Sunday, the Brest Fête de la Musique starts early: the first performances begin in the morning at the Saint-Louis market, followed by a lunchtime picnic at Place Wilson. Throughout the afternoon, music will fill the Tour Tanguy, the Jean-Moulin cable car station, the Brest train station, the Capucins media library, and several nursing homes, while the seven official stages host local musicians.

Access and practical information

All stages are free and open to the public. The sites are easily accessible on foot within the city center, between the Jardin Kennedy, Place Wilson, the Cours Dajot, and the commercial port; Place Henri Ansquer is located on the other side of the Penfeld river, in Recouvrance.

Tramway: The Bibus network is adjusting its service for the event. Line A will be interrupted between Recouvrance and Jean-Jaurès from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM; trams will run on two separate sections: from Jean-Jaurès to the gates of Guipavas and Gouesnou on one side, and from Recouvrance to the gate of Plouzané on the other. Bus line 2 remains the easiest way to reach the city center from Recouvrance.

Dining: Refreshments and traditional galettes-saucisses will be available at Place Keruscun, with a public picnic starting at 1:00 PM; Diwan crepes will be served at Place du Général-de-Gaulle.
