The Fête de la Musique in Charleville-Mézières
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the prefecture of the Ardennes into an open-air stage every June 21. True to the original spirit of the event, the city invites residents and musicians to take to the streets to play and listen to all styles, free of charge, from mid-afternoon until late at night. Having become an unmissable event of the Ardennes summer, the festival gathers 10,000 to 15,000 people each year.

Organized by the City of Charleville-Mézières, the Fête de la Musique usually unfolds on several stages in the heart of the city and in the neighborhoods: the majestic Place Ducale, the Île du Vieux Moulin on the banks of the Meuse, the theater forecourt, not to mention the Mézières, La Houillère, Manchester, and La Ronde Couture neighborhoods.
