Around this major event, the city of princes celebrates music for free each year in its historic center, with concerts of all styles, from pop to rock, jazz to classical.

Since its national creation in 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the city of Orange into an open-air stage every June. Music freely takes over the public spaces of the historic center: local bands, amateur musicians, and artists take turns on the squares and in the streets, for a popular event open to all.

The 2026 edition takes on an exceptional dimension: the Ancient Theatre of Orange hosts the great Fête de la Musique evening of France 2, broadcast live on television and presented by Laury Thilleman. More than 7,000 spectators are expected in this unique Roman monument for an intergenerational prime time combining great successes of French song and live performances.
This evening is free, by reservation via the online ticketing service of the City of Orange. It follows previous televised editions organized in Paris, Reims, Montpellier, and Nice.

Beyond the stage of the Ancient Theatre, Orange perpetuates the tradition of the Fête de la Musique in its historic center: several free stages and activities are set up in the squares and streets, where local bands perform in various styles (pop rock, rock, electro, jazz, classical). Free concerts in the city center (weekend of June 21)
In addition to the televised evening, the Fête de la Musique unfolds freely in the historic center of Orange: several stages and activities in the squares and streets, with local bands in various styles (pop rock, rock, electro, jazz, classical). Free access for all audiences.
