About Music Festival in Orvault
Every June 21st, Orvault celebrates the Fête de la Musique: amateur musicians, music school students, choirs, and orchestras play for free on several stages in the town center and around the Ormédo cultural space. Organized by the municipal culture department, the evening is entirely free and open to all, in this commune of Nantes Métropole.
The Fête de la Musique in Orvault
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms Orvault into an open-air stage every June 21st. Music freely takes over public spaces in the late afternoon and evening, in all genres and for all audiences.
A celebration spread throughout the town center
Usually, the commune of Nantes Métropole sets up several stages in its town center: around the Ormédo cultural space and its agora, on the forecourt and promenade, near the Saint-Léger church, and in the central squares. You'll find musical ensembles, jazz workshops, wind orchestras, choirs, brass bands, and high school groups, in a friendly and family atmosphere.
