About Music Festival in Privas
Every June 21, Privas, prefecture of the Ardèche, celebrates the Fête de la Musique: local bands, amateur ensembles, and music school students perform for free on several stages set up in the city center. The day is entirely free and mixes pop-rock and many other styles, from early evening until the heart of the night.
The Fête de la Musique in Privas
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the city of Privas into an open-air stage every June 21. Music freely takes over public spaces, from the streets and squares of the center to the surroundings of the prefecture, in all genres and for all audiences.
A celebration in the heart of the city center
Usually, several stages are distributed throughout the center of Privas, with the Place de l'Hôtel de Ville as an anchor point. Local bands and amateur ensembles perform there in succession, complemented by performances from music schools and associative structures of the city. Pop-rock concerts stand alongside other aesthetics, in a friendly atmosphere that enlivens the streets, squares, and terraces until late into the night.
