Free concerts at Beauregard Park on June 21, 2026
Every June 21, Saint-Genis-Laval celebrates the Fête de la Musique (Music Festival) in the green setting of Beauregard Park. Several stages host amateur and semi-professional groups with an eclectic program: pop, rock, metal, electro, reggae, jazz, and world music. Organized by the City of Saint-Genis-Laval, the evening is entirely free and open to all.
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the city into an open-air stage every June 21. In Saint-Genis-Laval, in the Lyon metropolitan area, Beauregard Park hosts the festival: a green setting where several stages respond to each other from early evening until the heart of the night, to celebrate the arrival of summer with music.
The City sets up two amplified stages in the park, complemented by an open stage in the Orangerie hall. The program is deliberately eclectic: pop, rock, blues, hard rock, soul, funk, metal, electro, reggae, jazz, rap, slam, and world music coexist, performed by amateur and semi-professional groups from the region, including ensembles from the Centre musical et artistique de Saint-Genis-Laval. Participatory music workshops also punctuate the evening.
The festival also makes room for dance, with a contemporary creation presented by the Calabash company. Food and drink stalls run by local associations allow visitors to enjoy the first evening of summer with family or friends.
The Fête de la Musique 2026 in Saint-Genis-Laval will take place on Sunday, June 21, from 5:30 PM to 11:15 PM, free of charge at Beauregard Park. Two amplified stages and an open stage at the Orangerie will host an eclectic program of amateur and semi-professional groups.
