Each June 21, Trappes celebrates the Fête de la Musique: students from the Conservatoire de Musique et de Danse, amateur talents, and established groups perform for free on stage, in a family-friendly atmosphere. Organized by the Ville de Trappes, the day is entirely free and open to all.
The Fête de la Musique in Trappes
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the city of Trappes into an open-air stage every June 21. Music freely takes over public spaces, from afternoon until evening, across all genres and for all audiences.
A family event at Parc des Bateleurs
Usually, the festival unfolds at Parc des Bateleurs, on the forecourt of the Conservatoire de Musique et de Danse. Several stages feature chamber music, choir, rock, jazz, hip-hop, dance, and world music, with conservatory students, local cultural associations, and established groups closing the evening.
