About Music Festival in Villefranche-de-Rouergue
Every June 21, Villefranche-de-Rouergue celebrates the Fête de la Musique: amateur musicians, local talents, and regional artists bring the squares and streets of the royal bastide, in Aveyron, to life for free. Supported by the municipality and its partners (associations, café owners, and shopkeepers), the day is entirely free and open to all.

On June 21st, 2026, the town of Villefranche-de-Rouergue celebrates the Fête de la Musique: gospel, flamenco, urban, ballroom and country dance, zumba, choirs, organ music, and a street opera. Concerts will be held in six locations across the town center, with additional festivities on Saturday, June 20th. Everything is free of charge.

Every June 21, the town of Villefranche-de-Rouergue celebrates the Fête de la Musique in collaboration with local cultural associations, including Les Amis du Carillon, Les Amis du Calvaire, Country on the Road, Musique et Orgue, and Voices, among others.
The festivities take over various spots throughout the bastide: Place Notre-Dame, the Chapelle des Pénitents Noirs, Place de la Fontaine, the Manufacture courtyard, Place de la République, the Collegiate Church, the Calvaire site, and the Basse-cour, with local cafés also joining in. The 2026 program features gospel, flamenco, urban and ballroom dance, country, zumba, choirs, organ and carillon performances, jazz, street opera, and DJ sets.
