Summer concerts by the lake of Gérardmer
Born from the desire to liven up the shores of the largest natural lake in the Vosges, the MusicoLac Festival has become a must-attend event of the Gérardmer summer. Organized in partnership with the city of Gérardmer and local cultural stakeholders, this open-air festival offers several concert evenings spread throughout the summer, providing the public with a varied and accessible program in an exceptional natural setting.
The festival takes place on the developed shores of Lake Gérardmer, the "Pearl of the Vosges," located at an altitude of 660 meters. This 115-hectare natural lake, bordered by fir forests and rolling mountains, offers a striking natural amphitheater for concerts. Spectators enjoy the last daylight on the lake while music rises into the cool air of the Hautes Vosges, creating an atmosphere that is both intimate and grand, found nowhere else.
The strength of MusicoLac lies in the diversity of its programming. Artists from French chanson, rock, pop, and contemporary music take the stage throughout the summer evenings. The festival showcases regional talents while also welcoming nationally renowned artists, in a spirit of sharing and musical discovery. The deliberately modest prices—around €16 per evening—make the event accessible to the widest audience, including families and music lovers.
MusicoLac is fully integrated into the cultural and tourist dynamic of Gérardmer, a classified resort town that attracts thousands of visitors each summer. The festival contributes to animating summer evenings by the lake, alongside other Gérardmer events. The open-air concerts by the water, the friendly refreshment stand, and the mild Vosges evenings create a summer tableau where music takes center stage. For vacationers and locals alike, MusicoLac has become a summer ritual, a suspended moment between lake and mountain where music brings people together.
The MusicoLac Festival is preparing its new summer season by Lake Gérardmer. True to its mission of offering accessible and varied concerts in an exceptional natural setting, the festival will announce its program and dates in the coming weeks.
